So about a month and half ago we had the pleasure of doing a combined family and maternity session with the O’Neal family! It was such an amazing session at Wilson Park in Fayetteville!
CJ and Paisley got a chance to run around a little bit after we did the family portraits while we did Chandun and Jeanene’s couple images really quick where we could keep an eye on Gianna in her stroller, where she would stare at our son, Harrison, who decided to munch on Cheetos and just watch.
I am so very, very excited to meet their sweetest, newest little boy Kaven! The biggest reason that we haven’t had a chance to do the newborn session yet has been the dreadful crud that has been going around lately! No reason to risk some cute pictures for a couple of sick babies! As soon as everyone here in our house is back to healthy you can bet I’m going to get some of those new baby snuggles!!

So about a year ago, I introduced y’all to Jimmy and Allison Moore, who are just the cutest, most wonderful couple ever. We have been so privileged to work with them a few times throughout our wonderful tenure as an official business, and as know them as some of our greatest friends for the past ten years. It is with such great happiness that I follow up my corny titles with! their maternity and newborn session! Jimmy and Allison welcomed their sweet daughter the first week of August and she is just the most snuggliest baby, ever.
It was such an honor to get to be able to witness such an amazing time in my friends’ life. I cannot wait to see what life has in store for this sweet girl. If she is anything like her parents she is going to go so many wonderful places! Welcome Earth-side sweet Amelia!

Ah! Where to begin! We had such an amazing time with Jennifer and her hubby Ken a few weeks ago to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary at Crystal Bridges! Let me tell you, I get to see a lot of love doing this crazy fun photography thing, and these two are truly the definition of love! I have known Jennifer and Ken for a few years now and they continue to love and be sweet on each other like it was day one! I know each couple has their own ups and downs, and they have had their own, Ken has always been there for Jennifer and the same can be said for Jennifer being there for Ken, but you would never know that they have ever had any trails, ever. The love that they have for each other is one that I can only hope to continue to have for my hubbins.
We were up nice and early that Sunday morning so that we could beat the heat and humidity of Northwest Arkansas, and I think we did just that! The light coming through all of the trees and hitting all of the glass was just gorgeous! Not to mention Jennifer looked stunning! We were able to get several different shots including a few of the open to the public displays of the Chihuly exhibit that were outside and in the available areas of the museum. It was so much fun getting to go around Crystal Bridges, Ken is the Facilities Engineer at the museum, and we learned so much about the construction of not just the original building, but ongoing projects and how they were so invested in keeping true to making sure that they were as unobtrusive as possible to the nature surrounding the museum. Which makes it probably one of my favorite places in the NWA.
I truly hope that you enjoy these portraits as much as I enjoyed getting to take them! Jennifer and Ken, I know that you guys have so many happy, love-filled years ahead of y’all! ❤
A few weeks ago, I got the pleasure to meet the Saunders family! Dillon, Tomasina, and Tomas were just amazing to work with! They were so understanding when I totally got lost walking to the meeting point, and then when the rain moved in right at the end of our session! We got some great portraits on the bridge and of course with Tomas playing on the hill with the wildflowers.
Tomas was just climbing all over the place and exploring the hill we were on. He and Dillon, Dad, we growling at each other, chasing after each other, and making some of the best faces I have seen. Now it took a little more convincing for Tomas to get some more smiles with mom, Tomasina, but once we got some smiles he was ready to go! I cannot wait to work with this amazing family again! They were just so perfect! ❤
The last time we saw Johnni and John we were in a pumpkin patch with sunflowers everywhere! We finally got to meet Miss June and and she was so much fun! She was ready to explore the park, the small creek area, and eat all of the grass that she could possibly get her little hands on! She decided to be nothing but character and just give up all the smiles! We really enjoy working with this family and cannot wait to work with them again in the future! ❤
Oh my goodness, it was such an honor to be able to photograph Amy and Andrew’s perfectly quaint wedding this past June at St. Vincent de Paul’s Catholic Church. The summer sunset light came in through all the windows just perfect. It was such a quiet and calm ceremony. It was all of Amy and Andrew’s closet family and friends. They did a wedding Mass and then had a pretty rip-roaring reception afterwards!
The Bride and Groom simply asked for a few intimate portraits of them and of every one coming in and partaking of the Mass. We did get a few portraits of the rest of the family at the request of the parents, which led to us taking photos outside with the fireflies. It truly was an honor and I was so glad I got to know Amy and Andrew! I cannot wait to work with the again soon!
Oh my goodness, where to begin?! We first met with Whitney, Robert, and Henry back in December to discuss their vow renewal and to take their save the date portraits , which were so much fun!!
We finally got together again this past May to actually capture their big day! Jesse went with Robert and Henry to get ready while I stayed with Whitney and all the ladies! Let me tell you, from the beginning of the day the amount of love for the three Cowan's was obvious. Everyone was ready and willing to do anything that was needed. As the day went on it only came out stronger. From all of Whitney's sisters helping her get ready and everyone fitting in the small office at Mildred B. Cooper Chapel and taking some of the best funny pictures I have ever seen!
The actual ceremony was simple yet gorgeous. With the surrounding trees and sunlight coming in through the glass walls it gave the entire chapel a very fairy-tale-like feel. Once all the groomsmen and bridesmaids walked in it was time for all the little ones, and older kids! To walk in with signs Whitney had made that counted down how long that she and Robert had been married, and it was just way too cute. It all culminated with Henry walking in before Whitney and her father Brian, down the aisle to Robert and her step-dad Eric, who officiated the actual ceremony. The vows were definitely not traditional since this was their ten year wedding anniversary and their vow renewal, but there was definitely a lot of reaffirmation of continued love and support, making sure to use the bathroom farthest away if they were both sick. Let me just say, I cried happy tears more than once during this day!
We were able to get portraits of just Robert and Whitney after the ceremony and I am pretty certain that to date they might be some of the best portraits I have ever taken. Whitney and Robert have so much love for each other and you can see it everyday when you just meet and talk with them, and I am so glad that I have been able to capture it for them. We were able to get some laughs along the way while capturing these portraits as well, thanks to a natural stone floor and my ladder 😉
When we made it to the reception the fun and love just kicked it up another notch! The couple drove there in Whitney's dad's Chevy Hot Red 1935, which was pretty awesome. They rolled up and the party began. They had a cheese board, donuts instead of an actual cake for the guests, and some super yummy food that Nina, one of the bridesmaids prepared. There was also a large assortment of different style glasses that Robert and Whitney had collected that the guests got to pick out and use as their glass for the night and take home as one of their souvenirs. One of the most beautiful things that was at the reception was the original outfits that Robert and Whitney wore when they first got married. Not only had they kept them for that long, but they also thought to have them at their vow renewal seemed so wonderful to me. I loved how young their outfits were and how innocent they were in their pictures they had displayed and then you see who they have become now and you know how much they have grown, not just as people but together and in more love. The first dance was another moment when I happy cried. One of the groomsmen, Dustin, and an accompanist, played/sang an acoustic version of James Arthur's "Say You Won't Let Go" So, so beautiful.
Thank you so much to Robert and Whitney for allowing us to be a part of your big, big day. Y'all, your family, and your friends made us feel so welcome, and made our job so easy and fun. I hope y'all have a wonderful lifetime of happiness and love.
Oh my goodness, where has the time gone?! The last time we saw this wonderful family little Miss Char was a newborn and was so wee! Now she is a rollie pollie six month old babe! Ready to start exploring the world and everything in it! With mom and dad of course! I cannot believe that she is already halfway to a year and celebrating her half birthday! She had so much character at her first session and big smiles, and the same held true for this one! Granted we did have to work a little harder to get some smiles since we did wake her up from a nap, but once we busted out Elmo and some song and dance from everyone she truly had a great time 🙂 I cannot wait to see what her next session is going to be like, and yet at the same I hope that time still slows down and that her mama and dad get to enjoy as much time as they can with her at this stage 🙂 ❤
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking and finishing them! Please remember to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!
Let me just say, that this session was so, so much fun! We had dinosaurs, bubbles, balloons, books, and Cheetos! Cheetos, everywhere! Emma, Ralph, Carissa, and Jensen were a hoot and a half! We were in Wilson Park and got to play around the castle and the pond for a little while, and then went off to a little more quiet area to do some more relaxed pictures. We did have to dodge a few puddles, but we ended up being fine, just fine! We did do an announcement photo as well, since they are expanding their family in the fall with another sister! I am so excited to work with this family again! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking and finishing them!

Originally we were supposed to have this session on a Friday night, once Ryan, LeeAnn, and Logan came into town, however, mother nature was not on our side that night. Instead we met on the University of Arkansas’s campus early Sunday morning to try and beat the midday Sun and try and make sure that they could get back home in time to get ready for the week. Even though we had to reschedule we had such a wonderful time! We got to run around the campus and play and dance all over the place. We found both Mom and Dad’s names on the senior walk and made sure Logan got to ride a Razorback, because who doesn’t want to do that?! It was so much fun to see the entire family interact, there is so, so much love for each other. They are truly a lovely family. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them and finishing them.
